Meet Our Providers
The care you receive at Highland Urgent Care and Family Medicine comes from a team of professionals who have been together for more than a decade. We share a common commitment to our patients’ health and well-being. And because of this – we provide the continuity that ensures you’ll get the best care possible.
Amy Hatfield is a Physician Assistant who grew up in Gwinnett County. She’s been with Highland Urgent Care and Family Medicine since 2009. Amy sees patients in our Urgent Care Clinic, Family Medicine Practice, and Travel Medicine Clinic.
Anyone who has experienced Amy’s kindness and the level of care she provides her patients won’t be surprised to learn that she began her medical career as a pediatric emergency room nurse. After five years, she moved to Charleston South Carolina to complete her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Amy attended the University of Georgia for her undergraduate studies and earned her Bachelors in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. A true Bulldog at heart, when she’s not at work, Amy enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and watching UGA football.
Lee Economy has nearly 20 years of clinical practice in Emergency, Urgent Care, and Family Medicine. He came to HUCFM more than a decade ago as one of Dian Dowling’s brightest Nurse Practitioner students. Lee is a graduate of Emory University. He’s worked in the E.R. for 12 years and is a leader in his field, heading up all of the NPs and PAs for Emory’s E.R. program.
Lee has spent most of his life in the Atlanta area and is active in his church community. He enjoys running, cooking, traveling, and playing with his children. He also speaks fluent Greek and has a working knowledge of basic Spanish. In his “spare” time, he’s also pursuing an MBA.
