Highland Personal Health is a partnership for better health.
Highland Personal Health is a membership program designed for people who want to take a more proactive role in achieving and maintaining their health.
Instead of waiting for symptoms to develop that your doctor can treat or suppress, this program focuses on creating a partnership between you and Dr. Nick to support optimum health and avoid or impede disease.
Highland Personal Health focuses on Functional Medicine, where you’re seen as a whole person, rather than a set of isolated symptoms. Appointments are scheduled to give you and Dr. Nick plenty of time to explore all of the factors that impact your long-term health:
- Your family history, including in-depth genetic testing to determine your unique risks
- Environmental exposure, with tests for allergies, nutritional deficiencies, and heavy metal toxicities
- Lifestyle pressures
Together, you and Dr. Nick will come up with an active wellness plan for improving, optimizing, and sustaining your health.

Highland Personal Health is an excellent alternative to insurance company health plans. It gives you access to HUCFM’s exceptional primary healthcare services and frees you from excessive insurance premiums, deductibles, and restrictions.
Membership is a fraction of the cost of insurance premiums. There are no deductibles to meet before your benefits kick in. And there are no restrictions or penalties for pre-existing conditions.

Supplemental Insurance
We recommend that patients in our Highland Personal Health program pair their membership benefits with a supplemental high-deductible health plan. These are low-premium plans – also known as catastrophic insurance – specifically designed to cover the cost of unpredictable events that fall outside the scope of primary care.
Highland Urgent Care and Family Medicine can refer you to a trusted independent insurance agent if needed.
