This is no profit-driven weight loss pop up in a strip mall. Highland Urgent Care and Family Medicine is in our 20th year in the Virginia Highlands and we’re here to support you in taking charge of your health.
Trusted Nutrionists
Our Weight management program includes referral to trusted nutritionists, nutritional testing, and the use of the latest weight loss medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus, or similar compounds.
Affordable
The cost is $700 per month (including medication). And for Pear’d Program members, it also includes unlimited Primary Care and Urgent Care visits.*
This isn’t just about losing weight, it is about taking charge of your health with access to a full service medical clinic with experienced Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants.

Low THC Oil Registry Cards
HUCFM is excited to offer Low THC Oil Registry Cards to members of our Pear’d Program who are at least 18 years of age. Low THC Oil is considered for patients with the following conditions:
- Cancer, when such diagnosis is end stage or the treatment produces related wasting illness or recalcitrant nausea and vomiting
- Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, when such diagnosis is severe or end stage
- Seizure disorders related to diagnosis of epilepsy or trauma related head injuries
- Multiple sclerosis, when such diagnosis is severe or end stage
- Crohn’s disease
- Mitochondrial disease
- Parkinson’s disease, when such diagnosis is severe or end stage
- Sickle cell disease, when such diagnosis is severe or end stage
- Tourette’s syndrome, when such syndrome is diagnosed as severe
- Autism spectrum disorder, when (a) patient is 18 years of age or more, or (b) patient is less than 18 years of age and diagnosed with severe autism
- Epidermolysis bullosa
- Alzheimer’s disease, when such disease is severe or end stage
- AIDS when such syndrome is severe or end stage
- Peripheral neuropathy, when symptoms are severe or end stage
- Patient is in hospice program, either as inpatient or outpatient
- Intractable pain
- Post-traumatic stress disorder resulting from direct exposure to or witnessing of a trauma.

To be eligible for a Low THC Oil Registry card through our practice you must be a member of our Pear’d program. Pear’d is a monthly membership program designed to provide patients with greater access to better Primary Care than the insurance system does. It costs $100 per member per month, and includes unlimited Primary Care with no co-pays, co-insurance, or additional bills.
To be approved for the registry, you’ll need to have an initial evaluation with one of our practitioners. It’s up to the practitioner to determine whether or not you have a condition that meets the requirements of the registry. The fee for the office visit is non-refundable.
You must continue to be a member in the Pear’d Program or your card approval will be rescinded.
